Hello,
One of the things that makes ResNet unique is that it's a non-profit
organization. Like years past, the 2012 Student Technology
Conference relies entirely on volunteers like you and me to make the
event a success. If you are interested in volunteering on
the Program Committee (and I hope you are!!), I would like to invite you
to go to http://goo.gl/9W1LMand sign up by Dec 31st.
There are many different ways to volunteer; from proof-reading to
serving on the PDS committee, there are opportunities to match
almost any interest or time commitment. For a full list of ways you can
help, with descriptions, see:
http://www.resnetinc.org/getting-involved/program-committee
There will be a couple of new volunteer slots available:
*- Marketing/Communications (Regional) *
This volunteer position will work closely with Margaret Landsparger,
Director of Communications. You will be contacting Universities
and Colleges in your region to educate them on the national ResNet
organization and help get the word out about our upcoming conference.
*- Webinar Host/Instructor -- "How to do a Presentation" *
This webinar will be offered to prepare prospective presenters in
how to do a presentations for the Student Technology Conference.
*- KeyNote Speaker Search Committee*
The name speaks for its self .. :)
If you don't know what volunteer position you would like to serve in,
sign up and we will help find the perfect position for
your skills and interest! If you're not sure if you will be able to
attend the conference, you can still volunteer. We need
lots of help prior to the conference that you can do from your home
location!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at cjrounds@ucsc.edu.
Nick, Linda and I look forward to working with all of you as we prepare
for the 2012 Conference at The Claremont Colleges
in beautiful Claremont, CA.
