Hello all,

We had 5 volunteers to serve on ResNet's nominations committee, but one vol=
unteer had to drop out, so I need one more.

As you may know, the mission for the nominations committee will be to annou=
nce the election (January 15th), collect certain materials from candidates =
and vet them for the positions they are interested in, and then present the=
ballot to our membership for vote (hopefully March 15th...TBD). Since all=
board of director positions have preferred qualifications, "vetting" the c=
andidates may mean (for example) that we conduct either phone interviews o=
r use email to ask supplemental questions to better determine a candidate's=
qualifications to serve. At the very least, we will have probably two pho=
ne conferences as a full committee: to talk about our mission and duties an=
d another to decide who will be on the ballot for those open positions.

The web page following lists the positions that are opening as of January 1=
5th and the requirements for candidates and it also provides links to more =
detailed information about the nominations process and the descriptions for=
 each open position: http://www.resnetinc.org/about/board-of-directors/ser=
ve-on-the-board-of-directors.

We are looking for people who have served on a hiring committee, but it is =
not absolutely required. Really, our only requirement is that you "show up=
" for our virtual meetings and participate! This should be a good opportun=
ity to gain experience in this area if you have never done this before. Pl=
ease feel free to contact me off-list with any questions you might have.

January 15th is just around the corner! Help ResNet by serving on this imp=
ortant committee, won't you?

Thanks!!!
