We formerly used Deep Freeze on our public computers but now we don't
have anything other than permissions locking them down. Students are
in the Users group, so Windows generally keeps them from doing
anything overly malicious to the computers. We do have a group policy
in place to remove profiles over 24 hours old, as well. The machines
have stayed remarkably clean and functional. I will admit that I was
hesitant to remove Deep Freeze, but it has been a good decision, over
all.
