This is a MIME message. If you are reading this text, you may want to
consider changing to a mail reader or gateway that understands how to
properly handle MIME multipart messages.

Those are some pretty darn good questions.

Hi,
These questions were aimed at a "jack of all trades" type help desk
position we have on the books. It has been a good way to make a first
cut for us...
Describe the differences between Plain Text and HTML e-mail and the
associated advantages and disadvantages. What role does the registry
play in Windows? Imagine you are working at the Help Desk and receive a
call from a client stating “My Internet is broken”. Pretend I am the
client, and help me troubleshoot the issue. How would you deal with a
forgotten BIOS password? Describe the differences between IMAP and POP
e-mail and the associated advantages and disadvantages. What is a
foreign key and how could it be used? Help the search committee
understand the depth and detail of your technical knowledge by
explaining to us what happens behind the scenes when you type
www.google.com ( http://www.google.com/ ) into a web browser.
Describe public / private key encryption and what you might use it for.
What is the difference between TCP and UDP. When / why to use one or the
other? Please explain the similarities and differences between hubs,
switches, and routers.

Subject: interview questions for Network/Systems Admin types

Does anyone have a set of interview questions that you would ask of a
candidate for a Network and Systems Administrator position that you are
willing to share? I have not interviewed candidates for this job in a
quite a while. BTW, if any of you are interested in moving to or
relocating within Montana, contact me off list.
