Wow. Thanks for sharing that. I think these policies tend to be throwbacks
from back when computer equipment was actually expensive. Now it's dirt
cheap. I feel the same way about security systems that are more than zipties
and bolt-downs, the security costs more than the rare theft.
That said, I think it's pretty gross to eat/drink in a lab, with the shared
keyboards and mice.
