We have only had some complaints about the "blinking lights". We have
Aruba APs and they have an option set them to "turn off the lights" in
cases where they are located actually "in" the residence. Most are hall
mounted but there are some areas/locations where the AP is in the room.
I fully expect (but haven't yet actually heard) the counter-argument,
reporting the network down because the lights are off...
We have only lost 2 APs thus far - one due to a small fire/smoke, and
one disappeared from the ceiling of a campus dining area (still trying
to figure that one out, it was not in a conspicuous location).
