Hi,
We do not have name tags/lanyards, but we do have polo shirts with the coll=
ege logo and ITS underneath. We bought 2 for each student their first year =
of work and after that, they get one.
About 4-5 years ago, I got sick of the top and bottom cleavage showing and =
sloppy dress and required student staff to wear the shirts when they were o=
n duty. They griped, but no shirt, no work. Some tried to weasel around it,=
so we had to stay firm. We also have a coat rack where they can hang their=
"uniform" so they can change when they get to the helpdesk. The student st=
aff said they were getting requests for help when they were off duty if the=
y wore their shirts.
The year we chose light blue shirts, the men really didn't like them. So we=
went back to navy in a nice knit which they liked. We have an annual discu=
ssion of name tags/lanyards. But so far have not used them. I thought if th=
ey wore the name tags/lanyards they would try to skip the official polo shi=
rts.

Hello All,
To inject another question for those of you who have nametags - do you also=
have shirts/vests/some kind of uniform, or is the nametag the only identif=
ier? We have T-shirts that I require during opening weekend, and encourage=
the rest of the year, but no name tags.
Thanks,
Clyde

I will add to the chorus, we have reusable name tags (name changes done wit=
h a P-touch label maker) that staff are required to wear along with their u=
niform shirt. I can pass you the name of our supplier off list if you wish=
. The cost comes down to about 5 bucks per tag and they look pretty good. =
They use magnetic clasps so clothing isn't damaged.
