I also have a Samsung Series 5 (Wi-Fi & 3G, 3G disabled) and can manage to
connect to my university's network as well.

When you connect there is a field called "Server CA certificate". By
default, it is set to "default". I set it to "Do not check" and it connecte=
d
without issue. I did not test it with the "default" setting
