We do not have any mandatory shirts here for students but we do encourage
them to wear a polo if we know beforehand that they are going to be around
campus and in the administrative offices. The name badges suffice for us.

Hello All,
To inject another question for those of you who have nametags - do you also
have shirts/vests/some kind of uniform, or is the nametag the only
identifier? We have T-shirts that I require during opening weekend, and
encourage the rest of the year, but no name tags.
Thanks,
Clyde

I will add to the chorus, we have reusable name tags (name changes done with
a P-touch label maker) that staff are required to wear along with their
uniform shirt. I can pass you the name of our supplier off list if you
wish. The cost comes down to about 5 bucks per tag and they look pretty
good. They use magnetic clasps so clothing isn't damaged.

One of my techs just brought me an interesting idea: name tags for student
employees, so customers can easily identify who is assisting them. I have
no real intention of implementing this (...yet?), but I am curious if any of
you have your student employees wear name tags, and if you believe it helps
with customer interactions.
