Greetings,
At a previous employ, we figured that it made more sense to have
equipment loans come from the library. They're experts at getting things
back and keeping track of stuff. Also, they had the facility to block things
from happening on the academic side or to issue bills for lost goods,
something we had political trouble with in I.T.. We traded enhanced support
for them taking on the equipment loans. I thought it was a win-win, everyone
playing on their strengths.
