As a "device agnostic" campus (as our Resident NetAdmin puts it) we do our best to support anything a student brings onto campus, with mixed results. We do not consider the device or form factor a "special case"- yet (see last sentence).

Regarding iPads specifically, most residents are able to connect to our web-based registration system with little to no effort with the supplied browser. Sometimes a device decides it doesn't like our setup page and an RCC will manually register it the same way they would register a device without a GUI (i.e., set-top box, etc.)

I haven't heard of any significant issues unique to the iPad in our residences yet. However I do suspect the AirPlay® feature will make our RCCs' lives more interesting in the coming months, and look forward insight in that regard.
