I think the only concerns are (1) installing applications on the lab
machines and (2) ensuring that they're available for academic purposes
when needed. We have our systems fairly locked down, so I don't think we
have all that much going on here. And if you install it, you get to
support it...

Many folks won't follow through on asking gamers to vacate a machine so
they can write a paper, so your lab monitors, if you have them, get to
enforce that one.

On the other hand, supporting gamers is good PR, and the network demand
is actually fairly slight.
