Eric,

I'll tell you that network bandwidth has not been an issue for us. As
long as you're using a wired connection with clean fiber, modern network
infrastructure seems able to handle it just fine.

Video struggled with earlier releases of VMWare, but the keys are (1)
use the latest version, (2) if possible, use PC over IP, and (3) be sure
to follow VMWare's best practices in terms of how to install agent,
tools, and .NET framework.

Awwww, c'mon - not even a hint to the punchline? :)

We're looking at testing VDI for labs "soon" (within a few months?).
Our main concerns are network bandwidth and video performance, going in.

Hey, everyone,

Anyone else out there have any experience running VDI / VMWare in a lab
or commons space on their campus? We've been doing so for a while now,
and, without spoiling the punch-line, I'd love to compare experiences.

Thanks!
