These are popular for model airplanes because running a plane
on a wall charger would be difficult. It is touch and go whether
the battery will be destroyed from abusive charging before the
plane crashes. Depends on skill, I guess.
You don't want to do this. Rapid charging is likely to put you
on a first name basis with your fire dept. It would probably
shorten your battery lifetime. It would invalidate any UL-Listing
for your equipment.
I'm assuming we're talking about loaner laptops. Don't use any
charger not recommended and supported the by the manufacturer.
