It is our pleasure to announce the 2011 ResNet Student Technology Conferenc=
e (formerly known as the ResNet Symposium) at Yale University! Early bird =
registration runs through May 2, 2011.
Registration and other information is available on our website: www.resnets=
ymposium.org/resnet2011<http://www.resnetsymposium.org/resnet2011>. In addi=
tion to presentations in past themes such as Education & Learning Technolog=
ies, Security & Policy, and Support Operations, this year the program inclu=
des a new theme, Mobility. The conference website will be updated with deta=
iled presentation descriptions as soon as they are available.
In addition to the conference program sessions, we are also offering a numb=
er of Professional Development Seminars (PDS). Seminars include a past favo=
rite, Brandon Enright's "Windows Technical Fundamentals for Understanding a=
nd Cleaning Malware", as well as a seminar led by ResNet's past president, =
Dee Childs, entitled "You 3.0: Version Control and Change Management for Yo=
ur Career". We've also enlisted experts at Yale to speak on topics such as=
Project Management, Web Development for Universities, and Managing Across =
Generations (and more). For a full list of seminars as well as their descri=
ptions, visit the PDS page on our website (http://resnetsymposium.org/resne=
t2011/professional-development-seminars/).
Yale and New Haven are lively and beautiful during the summer. With its sp=
acious courtyards and unique architecture, Yale's campus offers a relaxing =
getaway from city life. As past attendees know, the opportunity to network =
with your fellow attendees is a highlight of the conference. Those staying =
on-campus will find Silliman College to be an ideal location, with amenitie=
s such as a dining hall, a movie theater, a basketball court, as well as a =
snack and game room.
Whatever you're interested in, New Haven has something for you. From histor=
y (New Haven Green) to culture (there are over 7 museums in downtown) to fo=
od (Louis' Lunch, where the hamburger was invented) or even recreation (hik=
ing and beaches), New Haven has it all.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact host@resnetsymposium.org<ma=
ilto:host@resnetsymposium.org>.
We hope to see you in June!
