Tried to send my pretty pie chart, but attachments are barred. Oh, well...
Our user count is stable, but as Jeff said, the device count is
climbing. We have 2900 students, and recently increased our bandwidth
from 200Mb/s to 450Mb/s. The peak demand has been gradually climbing
toward that mark, but hasn't hit it yet.
This week's stats:
Streaming Media 59%
Web Browsing 24%
S/W Updates & VPN 11%
Messaging, EMail 2.3%
File Transfer (Steam) 1.5%
Unknown, Misc. 1.0%
File Sharing (Permitted) 0.7%
Gaming 0.3%
97% of Messaging is VoIP, 93% of that is Skype.
We block P2P for most clients, it's possible to opt for an exemption.
