Fellow ResNetters,
I am pleased to announce the 2011 Senti-Merriman Scholarship. As most of yo=
u probably know, the scholarship is awarded each year to allow for students=
to attend the Student Technology Conference. In the past, the scholarship =
has been awarded to up to 2 students annually and covered the conference re=
gistration fee for those students. Last year, the scholarship was modified =
to be awarded to only 1 individual, but cover both registration as well as =
on-campus housing and travel expenses up to $1000.
For the 2011 Student Technology Conference at Yale University, the Senti-Me=
rriman Scholarship will cover the registration fee for the conference as we=
ll as up to $500 to be used towards on-campus housing and travel expenses. =
The funding for the scholarship is provided by the silent auction that was =
held at last year's conference at Western Washington University. As in the =
past, the nominating institution will be required to send a staff member to=
accompany the scholarship recipient at the conference.
Additional information on the scholarship, such as how to apply, is availab=
le at http://resnetsymposium.org/wiki/index.php/Senti-Merriman_Scholarship.=
Nominations are due by Friday, April 15, 2011.
If you have any questions, would like any additional information, or have a=
ny thoughts on the scholarship, please contact me at jim.rizzo@resnetsympos=
ium.org.
Please note that the general conference registration will be opening soon.
Thanks!
