If you're on the front lines (or secondary, or tertiary) of user support, your days are filled with non-stop activity. No day in IT goes exactly as planned, but everyone has their own ways to handle those daily challenges.
Submit your presentation ideas now for ResNet 2011 to share the tips, tricks, and tools you use to make your days go more smoothly and help your colleagues who are looking for smoother days, too! Your experience (of what worked, and even what didn't) is valuable and your implementation of an idea was unique.
Some possible topics are, but not limited to:
- Support staffing
- Knowledge management
- Support issue solutions
- Evaluating your services and/or staff
- Services offered (drop-off, walk-ins, calls, appointments, deliveries, service level agreements)
- Procedures
- Staff training
- Computer lab management
Submit your proposal by visiting http://resnetsymposium.org/resnet2010/program/
If you think presenting by yourself is too stressful, or if you don't think your proposal topic could fill an entire presentation slot, post to the ResNet listserv and see if others would be interested in joining you for a panel presentation. You could also choose to moderate a Birds of a Feather (BOF) session for a more casual discussion of a topic.
The deadline for submission is Friday, March 11. Don't delay, submit your proposal TODAY!
