At Buffalo State we are also on a 3 year replacement cycle for the same
reason.

At SUNY Oneonta, all of our computers are on a 3 year replacement cycle,
because we buy the machines with 3 year warranties.

How often do you replace your computer lab/cluster/staff/faculty
equipment? I searched the archives & saw this question was last
reviewed in June 1999--any changes to: Every three
years, four years, and if so why?
-Also, anyone seen any good articles on the frequency of computer
replacements?
