At Wellesley, we do not charge of hooking up a student to ethernet. The
student is responsible for the ethernet card or adapter, the transceiver or
cables required, but there is no fee for the service and we have no plan to
add a fee. All drops are live to each room so we do not have to account
for the turning on and off of drops etc.

We also use the RCC model and find that the need for those services is
increasing. We plan to put two consultants into the larger dorms in the
fall to try to bring the ratio down to 1 consultant per 100-150 as Jeff
mentioned in his message.
