Apple recently announced that it will give away it's LaserWriter Bridge
2.0, which should allow users to maintain simultaneous localtalk and
ethernet connections. That capability will also be contained in the
forthcoming release of OpenTransport. One caveat, I recently searched
Apple's archives for LaserWriter Bridge and didn't find it. Haven't checked
AppleLink yet. Also, Sonic Systems is now bundling LaserBridge with its
ethernet adapters.
So, there should be a viable solution there somewhere.
Good luck,
