Hey all,
Some of our student activities team members are interested in the ability t=
o dive deeper on social media posts for students who are at-risk - NOT moni=
tor all accounts in the area/community, which seems to be what most commerc=
ial tools like Geofeedia and others offer and not monitoring brand mentions=
like Radian6. The idea would be to review accounts for students who are al=
ready engaged with our counseling resources and are identified as a risk to=
themselves or others. So, a few questions:
1) Are any of your schools doing something similar today?
2) If so:
a. what tool(s) are your campuses using?
b. What's the primary goal for your campus?
c. Did you communicate the tool availability to your campus community=
?
d. Was there any pushback?
3) For those who are not using or considering this kind of program, wh=
y not?
I'm assuming this functionality would need to be launched in cooperation wi=
th the companies themselves, and I imagine they are not terribly keen on op=
ening access without LEO involvement but figured I'd ask the group.
