Long story short ... We ended up uninstalling Adobe CC from the image but retained the installation files. Restore the image to other computers. Change host names. Install Adobe CC. Run the serialize script. This is how we are going to handle our Mac lab images from now on. It is more convenient to include an installed Adobe CC suite in the image but as you pointed out, you run into problems.
