I agree. It would be silly nowadays to deploy a 2.4 GHz-only solution anywhere, given all the problems from interference etc in that spectrum, lack of density and the ubiquity (sorry) of 5GHz in clients.

The lack of 5GHz support would seem to be a major issue in concentrated dorm environments. We just redid a problematic dorm (went from a Cisco 1142n deployment to a Meraki MR32 deployment that still had issues) with Ruckus H500's and it's been a flawless implementation. No more complaints, very high bandwidth availability, excellent roaming, and auto settings that actually work.
