Stanford Residential Computing is pleased to announce the shareware release of
the "Stanford Software Librarian Package". This Macintosh software copyright
protection program is being offered as a fully functional, low-cost
shareware alternative to similar commercial products on the market. Its purpose
is to prevent users from copying software from cluster machines to run
on their own computers, and to prevent more than the licensed number of
copies of a program from running.
A detailed description of the product is available on the
World Wide Web (WWW) at: http://rescomp.stanford.edu/softlib.html,
or can be obtained by sending e-mail to: softlib@rescomp.stanford.edu.
The fully-functional product, along with documentation and product description
can be obtained via anonymous ftp from "rescomp.stanford.edu"
in the /pub/softlib directory.
