Colby has provided free (to the students anyway) CATV to lounges in residence
halls for 2 years. As buildings are wired for data - coax to individual rooms
is installed but not livened - yet. Our contract with the local cable operator
calls for the first drop in a building to pay full price and each additional
drop is $3.50

Colby pays all costs for communications infrastructure.

Long term plan is to provide basic cable to each residence for free and then
allow studnets to contract for expanded services on an individual basis.
