Jason,

I held the position of System Administrator at Central State University in
Wilberforce Ohio.... They have been a long time client of Heartland Payment
Solutions, 1Card system. As with some of the other systems mentioned here,
they have a tie in piece to Banner (via a script base export/import) they
also offer a highly configurable point-of-sale package that can be setup
for use by Sodexo or other food vendors, an ID Card Photo system and if
desired a POS for the bookstore. They have every configuration for door
controllers you can think of. CSU's installation was old enough they had a
lot of twisted pair back to NETMANGER computers in each building... but I
was able to get them started on using NETWORK controlled systems. If
memory serves me right their wireless controllers work through normal
access points and talk back to the server (each door controller has memory
in case of network failure in case of power/network failure.) Doors can be
set to fail locked or open as desired.

Support was solid and included in annual maint agreement, I was able to
attend the annual user group meeting held in FL (alternates between FL and
CO) and the information share by the company was excellent, the other users
were more than willing to help out with advice and experience.

I was totally impressed with the overall system and ease of use.

Best regards to all my ResNet Friends,

Randy Kouns
