I tried Lackeys (loved the term when I played City of Villains) but it just didn't fly. Minions (or Twinkies, as I call them) came closer but still no love there. . . sigh.
All of our students are under the Student Technology Assistant Team's umbrella and all carry the xTA nomenclature:
LTA - Lab Technology Assistants
RTA - Resident (or Residential) Technology Assistants
ITA - Instructional Technology Assistants (work with our Educational Technologists and faculty to develop materials)
JTA - Joint Science Technology Assistants (work with our Keck Joint Science department to help with tech there)
We used to have several UTAs - User support Technology Assistants
We had a PTA - President's Technology Assistant
We had several more. . . but were noticing the proliferation of letters, and since EACH of them has to have a separate and specific job description (in duplicate - one FWS, and one non-FWS) that is updated each year, we consolidated everything aside from the main four into . . .
OTA - (any guesses?) Other Technology Assistant
