All,
I’ve been tasked with evaluating different options in regards to how we handle Technology Life Cycle Management. One of the things I’m trying to do is reach out to other Universities to discuss how they are dealing with things such as:
Imaging or Operating System Deployment
Software Deployment
Hardware/Software inventory
Operating System Patch Management
Currently we are using SCCM 2007 to handle most of these tasks and have been looking towards moving to SCCM 2012. Before we do, I would like to see what, if any, other tools Universities are using to handle some/all of these tasks.
If you can spare the time to discuss what you are using, or if using SCCM 2012 what your experience is so far with it, please send me an off-list email so I can discuss this further with you. Thanks in advance!
Sincerely,
Jason Everroad
