	Sorry, we are not trying to compare the value of the two 
connections.  The issue is why should students in the residence halls be 
required to, in essance, pay for both services.  Without getting too far 
into the issue of exactly where the money comes from, suffice to say that 
the main campus labs that pay for the modem accounts aren't chageing the 
users in particular.  
	Also, you can't really use the analogy of the campus atheletic 
facility either.  Sure, students pay for the facility and then may not 
use it.  What they are not doing is paying it twice and then not using 
it.  By paying for both modem access to campus accounts AND paying for 
ethernet access they are being required to pay for two methods of 
recieving access to the same service.
