	If you write your RFP specifying the work will meet EIA/TIA standards
	568 and 569 you cover yourself for all aspects of installation 
	procedure. It is still up to you to define the types and numbers of
	cables run to each faceplate and the support structure that holds the
	cable, ie. conduit, cable tray or open air hangers. EIA/TIA specs.
	recognizes Cat-3 through Cat-5 UTP cable so specify category 5.

	EIA/TIA standards require compliance with the National Electrical Code.
	Just to be safe I would include that requirement explicitly in your RFP.

	Determing whether or not a particular contractor can meet those 
	standards is another matter entirely.

		Defines the above parameters for homes and small businesses.

	EIA/TIA 606 Administration Standard for the Telecommunications 
                    Infrastructure of Commercial Buildings
