I would (did) pull coax for video and decided not to pull in a single
sheath. We wired all (ca. 500) of our residences a couple of years ago
with 2 TP drops and one coax drop to each room. Our project was planned
with our local cable company, which paid the basic costs of the project.
Our part was the actual cost of the wire and the additional cost of pulling
& terminating it. Of course, the cable TV company got a contract to
provide services to the residences, but our students were clammoring for
that any way.

The drop costs may be convberging, but the connection costs are still very
different. In a residential environment, I don't see how the connection
costs could be maintained by either the institution or the student. As
others have said, the capacity of copper is still increasing.
