We've been using the 2072's for a while now and like them very much. We did
have some trouble when we got our first batch (a couple of bent boards) but
they were promptly replaced with no hassle whatsoever. These hubs are very
well made (don't take my word for it, read the PC Magazine review) and very
cost effective too.
Another thing that's nice is the scalability in their hub offerings;
intelligent (SNMP) 12port, 24 port stackable, and the 2072 for larger
installations. This lets you grow without spending a bundle up front.
Their hub manager, AsanteView, is also well done and can operate in-band
*and* out-of-band.

Works for us.

I certainly wouldn't put Asante in this category. Their sales and support
staff have been very good. However, I would agree that there are some
other guys that think they can charge double or more for their stuff and
we should beg them to sell it to us.

All I can say is that this was not our experience and I am quite surprised
to hear of it. Asante has been very helpful to us.

Just another happy Asante user. Usual disclaimers.
