Resnet-Folks,
Well, Petra from Farallon called this morning and it sounds like she's
receiving email from numerous individuals regarding her posting to
resnet-forum, and I forwarded to her the replies from this list, since she's
not a subscriber. She says some of the mail has actually been positive.
I truly believe Petra meant well, she really is a very nice and thoughtful
person. We discussed the concerns of the resnet-forum community and she will
refrain from sending out any further advertisement type things to this list.
If you would like to receive further information about Farallon products via
email, you can send mail to petra@farallon.com and she'll keep her own mailing
list for this purpose.
I hope that other vendors who read this list or know of it can learn from
Petra's experience. Perhaps if other vendors would like to set up mailing
lists of their own, they could *at most* post to resnet-forum to announce the
creation of their own list and who to contact if anyone wants to subscribe.
What do people think of this idea?
