TSA buckles to inane political pressure
"TSA scuttles plan to allow small knives on planes"
http://j.mp/10Zd8nd (AP / NBC)
"The head of the Transportation Security Administration said Wednesday
he's dropping a proposal that would have let airline passengers carry
small knives, souvenir bats, golf clubs and other sports equipment
onto planes"
- - -
By TSA's buckling to inane political pressure, this leaves the U.S. in
laughingstock territory yet again, by keeping us out of conformance
with the rest of the world which allows small knives on planes, which
have been involved in essentially zero incidents since the vast
majority of carriers elsewhere have permitted them. TSA is a bad joke.
