AI writing is ghostwriting. You are publishing words that you did not
originate, and claiming them as your own. A WSJ editorial written with
AI is like giving a human writer a list of your opinions, then taking
the essay they create and sticking your name on it. It is unethical
and disgusting, irrespective of whether or not your WSJ editor
approves of the practice. All AI writing that can be identified as
such with available tools to a high degree of certainty should be
called out and marked for public shaming.
