new subscriber.
Please read through the remainder of this message for important

Welcome to the privacy@vortex.com mailing list!
This is the distribution mailing list for the PRIVACY Forum Digest.
For the archive of past digests and other PRIVACY Forum information,
please see:
http://www.privacyforum.org
General information about the mailing list is at:
http://lists.vortex.com/mailman/listinfo/privacy
If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (change your
password, temporarily suspend deliveries, etc.), you can visit your
subscription page at:
http://lists.vortex.com/mailman/options/privacy/privacy-forum%40mit.edu
You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message to:
privacy-request@vortex.com
with the word `help' in the subject or body (don't include the
quotes), and you will get back a message with instructions.
To simply unsubscribe via e-mail, send a message (subject and body
text are unnecessary and will be ignored) to:
privacy-unsubscribe@vortex.com
You must know your password to change your options (including changing
the password, itself). It is:
ochuraip
Though the digest setting in your profile is off, this mailing list
uses a moderated, digest-only format and will not send out unsolicited
password reminder notices, so changing the options in your profile
regarding these functions, or other functions that are not applicable
to this list, will have no effect.
While mailing of passwords "in the clear" is in general not a
recommended practice, these particular passwords cannot do any serious
damage thanks to the confirmation/notification features built into
this system, and the passwords provide at least a bit more security
for subscriptions than no passwords at all.
For any mailing list issues that require the intervention of a human,
please contact:
privacy-owner@vortex.com

Thanks very much!
