That is a misinterpretation of what I said 7 years ago,

I said that no reputable company should hire Mr. Morris *simply because of what 
he did.*  Any company that hired him because of that should be ostracized.  I (d
id not, and still do not) believe that computer crime is a job qualification, is
 particularly good training for work in security, or should be rewarded in any w
ay.
