Some hotels provide in-room safes. I can't see how that provides real
protection as many people will have held the key. (An example for you).

Visit the network computer. It holds nothing, except what it is running.
When turned off, it holds nothing. It's not useless, but the content is
worthless. Badly designed, when on, they could still be a security worry
for the owner. However, worth is not something anyone but the owner can
really decide.
