Subject: RE: Will the committee reconvene?
Hi Michael,
Sorry for the delay. I was in LA this week. Just waiting for the red eye ba=
ck now.
I don't think there are any open issues for the phase one working group. We=
presented the phase one recommendations to the sponsors (Marilyn Smith and=
Dan Hastings) and to the MIT Council on Educational Technology. Basically,=
all the phase one recommendations were accepted and endorsed. We'll be mov=
ing forward with the printing and quickstation work this fall and spring. I=
gave an overview of the printing proposal at a UA Senate meeting, which al=
so seemed to meet with approval.
On the spaces front, MIT CET will kick off a phase two to look specifically=
at a bold strategy and some short-term proof of concept work regarding stu=
dent community and technology spaces. I suspect that'll involve a larger gr=
oup and has yet to be chartered. If that is of interest to you, let us know=
. Some of your proposal work from last semester may fit right in.
If you're interested in working on the short term printing recommendations =
(basically, the move to Pharos and hold-and-release) let me know that as we=
ll. That'll largely be an IS&T and CopyTech project, with help from the UA =
and GSC.
Oliver

Hi,
I was wondering if there were still open issues for the committee and if th=
e committee wished to reconvene?
Thanks -Michael Plasmeier
