Hi, everyone:

This has been an excellent year so far, and I would like to thank you all
for your hard work, patience, and enthusiasm. After the retreat and 42 UAS
E1, I hope that everyone is fully engaged and excited for this Monday's
meeting. The agenda is below, but I just wanted to quickly remind everyone
about the status of issues we are presently juggling:

   - Student Center Game Room
      - 42 UAS 2.1 passed (tasking further progress to Space Planning)
      - UA Survey conducted (results available at http://ua.mit.edu/survey)
      - Athena Printing
      - 42 UAS 2 Minutes available (as draft in your e-mail) on discussion
with Oliver Thomas and suggested action items
      - Additional discussion to come on Monday with 42 UAS 3.2
      - Dining
      - Emergency meeting and 42 UAS E1.1 passed (tasking UA President with
      further progress)
      - 42 UAS E1 Draft minutes available online (
      http://ua.mit.edu/transparency/minutes)
      - Enrollment
      - See potential areas of concern raised at Exec meeting on
29-Sept<http://web.mit.edu/ua/minutes/UAE42/minutes_42UAE3_092910.pdf>
      - Allan Miramonti suggested bill-writing session on Sunday (tomorrow)
      in UA Office

As you can see, we've already addressed a number of issues and have many
more to come. Please take the opportunity to get involved in some way with
one of these issues as well as with a UA Committee if you have not already.
At the start of Monday's business (following the approval of minutes), *I
would like to have everyone update the assembly on the committee they have
joined*. If you have any questions about one of these topics, or you wish t=
o
discuss your committee choice, please feel free to drop by my office hours
tomorrow night from 8:00pm-10:00pm in the UA Office.
