Hi Senate,
As part of your "power of the purse", each semester you discuss and
vote on a budget for the UA.
The Special Budgetary Committee and I have worked together to prepare a
preliminary spring 2010 budget. The budget consists of two parts.

Please note that the budget is slightly preliminary. In particular, for
various reasons the CSL and Athletics budgets have been changing over
the past couple of days during the SBC's second, email pass, and some
members of the SBC may not have had an opportunity to express their
views, so our recommendation may be changing.
I encourage you to discuss this budget before the Senate meeting. You
can send any comments or questions to myself (adehnert@mit.edu); the
Special Budgetary Committee, which discussed and finalized this budget
(ua-sbc@mit.edu); or these lists.
I will also be available at Monday's Senate meeting to answer any questions.
