Hi, everyone:

At this meeting, members of the MIT-Online Faculty Study Group will engage
Senate in an hour-long discussion on the future of MIT's online educational
presence.
After this discussion, reports from our committees, and two requests from
the Finance Board (details forthcoming), we will mark the start of
confirmation hearings for next year's Officers and Committee Chairs as
recommended by the President & Vice President-Elect. The three pieces of
legislation on this week's agenda are related to the committees whose chair=
s
they will nominate in the coming weeks.
The meeting will conclude with the consideration of the NomComm slate, and =
a
discussion on how to improve the UA in the next year (a.k.a.
"Restructuring"). Depending on how productive the latter discussion happens
to be, we may consider holding a caucus this Saturday on the same topic.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. My office hours
will be from 8:00pm-10:00pm tomorrow (Sunday) in the UA Office.
