Hey,
I wanted to have a meeting before rush/recruitment and classes started, but
it looks like there are too many conflicts for Thursday night. As of now
let us indefinitely postpone the meeting.
*Exec Meetings *

We had an officers meeting today and are sticking to having *Exec meetings
every two weeks on Wednesday nights*.
The final schedule has not been decided, but we want to have a *one-off
meeting on 9/8* (next Sunday) sometime in the range of *1-4 in the
afternoon.* Please contact the officers if there is a conflicts.
Following that, we will return to a more conventional schedule with *recurring
meetings on 9/18 (Wednesday) onwards* for one hour (either *7-8, 730-830 or
8-9*). Please let us know which time works best for you and if there are
any specific conflicts. These meetings are mandatory so please pencil them
in to your calendars.
*UA Council*

On the alternate Wednesday nights we will be having *UA Council* (DormConn,
IFC, Panhel, etc.), and those (tentatively) start on *9/11 *from* 730-9*. These
are not mandatory for Exec members unless you are presenting something or
there is a specific agenda item which requires your attendance. However,
all are welcome to attend.
*ASA Activities Midway*
A reminder once again that the *ASA Activities Midway* is this *Friday from
230-430 in Johnson*. This is a great way to recruit for your committee, so
it is expected that everyone spends an hour at the booth.
*Join the UA Committees email to Undergrads*
One of the biggest assets the UA has is access to the
undergrads@mit.edumailing list. I want to leverage that as much as
possible this year,
beginning with sending out an "Apply to Join the UA Committee's" mail. If
there are any specifics, please let the officers know at ua-officers@mit.edu.
Else, there will be an email just listing all the committees and a link to
http://ua.mit.edu/join/executive-committees/. We could send this out on the
first day of classes.
