Hey,

I like the goal of these bills. However, I will ask senate to consider a
bill that has some flexibility with regard to length of Senate. I am all
for creating short meetings, but there are times when extensive business *
needs* to get done. A prime example is at the end of the year when the
President nominates his new staff. Given the timings and number of people,
the meetings will have to extend beyond an hour and a half.

I would increase the base length of senate to 2 hours and add in a clause
that allows meetings to go longer with a simple majority vote. (these
things can be added to the bill on the Senate floor tonight, we do not need
a whole new bill)
