DSP Development has donated DADiSP to Athena for educational use, and
I have installed a Sun version. DADiSP is a data analysis and
signal-processing application based on a spreadsheet paradigm.
To access it, do "add dadisp" and cd to /mit/dadisp. The several
README and help3* files at the top level of the locker should give
enough information to get people started.
Please note that DADiSP is unsupported and consultants should not be
expected to answer questions about it. Note also that the Athena
installation can not directly make use of the various special "data
capture" features of DADiSP that require special hardware boards - all
input data must be read from data files that users must be able to get
on Athena AFS file systems (within constraints defined in the Athena Rules
of Use).
If there appear to be any installation problems you can contact me directly.
I have manual sets in my office (E40-364) that are available for browsing.
