  VRweb version 1.1 has been installed in the outland locker for all 6
common platforms (Linux, NetBSD, Solaris, AIX, Irix, Ultrix). VRweb is a
VRML scene viewer that can also interface with your web browser to allow
you to browse VRML worlds on the web.

  To simply run the Scene viewer, add outland; vrweb. To use VRweb with
your web browser, you must add a line to the file ~/.mailcap:

For Netscape:
  x-world/x-vrml; vrweb -URL %u %s &;

For NCSA Mosaic:
  x-world/x-vrml; vrweb -mosaic %s &;

(Note that this assumes that you have previously added outland, so that
vrweb can be found.) For WWWAnchors to work with netscape, vrweb must be
able to find a program called 'netscape', so if you use netscape-beta from
the outland locker you may want to add a symlink from netscape to
netscape-beta in your ~/bin directory. (I am looking into a better way of
handling this.)

The VRweb help pages are installed in /mit/outland/share/lib/vrweb/help.
For the VRweb help menu to work properly, you will need to do the following:
  % mkdir ~/.vrweb
  % ln -s /mit/outland/share/lib/vrweb/help ~/.vrweb/help

Enjoy!
