I've updated CHEMKIN on Athena to releae 4.0. CHEMKIN is a chemical kinetics
simulator for a variety of chemical kinetics and thermodynamics applications.
From my announcement to users:
CHEMKIN 4.0 is available on Athena. To run it now type:
add chemkin
chemkin -ver 4.0
at the Athena prompt. This is a major update, with a new, Java-based
look-and-feel. The online help system has many tutorials and examples that
will guide you through the use of this new version.
It will put local user configuration files below ~/chemkin in your
home directory- initially about 2.2 meg; these are mostly examples and
you can delete them if you want to save space. In this release there are
no platform-specific subdirectories, just a common working area for
both Sun and Linux; CHEMKIN's data files are platform-independent so
you should be able to work interchangeably on either platform.
We plan to make this version the Athena default sometime later this Summer.
Please send questions/comments to the 3partysw@mit.edu mailing list.
