I've installed Matlab 6.5.1/R13 Service Pack 1 on Athena, in a separate locker
from the current default (6.5/R13). From my announcement to users:
Matlab on Athena has been updated to R13 Service Pack 1. To run it now, type:
add matlab
matlab -ver 6.5.1
You can read about new features by typing "whatsnew" at the Matlab >> prompt,
or by going to URL
https://web.mit.edu/matlab_v6.5.1/distrib/help/base/relnotes/relnotes.html
You can also type "ver" at the Matlab prompt when running this new version
and the current default version (still 6.5/R13) to see what has changed.
As noted in a prior message, the Matlab compiler should now work properly
for both C and C++ code on Linux (as well as in the 6.5/R13 release).
We expect to make this version the Athena default during IAP 2004. Please
let us know if you encounter significant problems or bugs by writing to
the 3partysw@mit.edu mailing list.
