I installed cdrecord 1.9 binaries for i386_linux24 in the cdrecord locker.
There's a copy of mkisofs also in the distribution, which I installed
there. This introduces some version skew, since I didn't update the
copies for older platforms, as I've got no way of testing them.
There's instructions in /mit/cdrecord/README which briefly cover how to
use cdrecord on an Athena Dell GX150. They assume that you've figured
out how to make an iso image, already.
The SIPB document "icdr", written by fastcart, which was never published
online but can be found at:
/afs/sipb/project/doc/icdr/cd.txt
contains a lot of useful information that should help a less experienced
user create an iso image for a data cd.
No guarantees offered with this software, but problem reports should be
sent to bug-cdrecord@mit.edu.
